Travel - San Diego, California - KELP FOREST & WRECK DIVING - (2025 SCHEDULE)
Travel - San Diego, California - KELP FOREST & WRECK DIVING Â - (2025 SCHEDULE)
We are SO stoked about these! Our team put in work to make sure these are well-thought out San Diego weekend getaways. Each day is planned and you can find details/logistics in the itinerary below.
THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT:Â
An Advanced Open Water (AOW) certification is required for these dives. The shipwrecks lay around 90 ft or so. We also strongly recommend diving in either your drysuit, semi-drysuit, or a 7mm wetsuit. Cali water is chilly year round. Please bring the appropriate exposure protection and clothing to ensure you are comfortable the entire weekend. Our team is familiar with these dives so please come into the shop and speak with us. We'd love to find gear that works for you!
*If you are not AOW certified already and would like to receive this certification for this trip, please reach out to Paragon staff in regards to special pricing!
Includes:
- 2 Day Trips - 4 Advanced Open Water Boat Dives

ITINERARY:
Friday:
Drive to California. We will provide the Caravan meeting place and time the week of each trip. Once we all arrive in San Diego, we will grab a group dinner that we have pre-arranged reservations for. Return to lodging, and rest up for a sweet weekend of diving!
Saturday:Â
Meet for a light breakfast and coffee. Walk/Drive over to the marina to load up gear. This day we will be doing 2 dives on Wreck Alley. The first site is the HMCS Yukon shipwreck and the second site is the Ruby E shipwreck. Both dives lay around 90 ft or so. We recommend bringing a primary flashlight for these dives.
Once we've returned to land, everyone will return to their lodging to freshen up. Then meet for lunch/early dinner at a local restaurant that we enjoy frequenting. Perhaps even find some beach time in La Jolla.
Sunday:
Meet for a light breakfast and coffee. Walk/Drive over to the marina to load up gear. We will be doing 2 Kelp dives today. There's just something special about the California Kelp Forest!Â
*Group meet ups are not required of course, but with scuba diving comes tight knit camaraderie. We specifically chose the local spots for breakfast, lunch and dinner because we personally enjoy them and hope you will too. However, we have curated a list of restaurants, lodging and other activities in the area that you can visit. We will conveniently provide this list as an attachment in the trip email upon sign up.
PLEASE DO NOT USE SHOP PAY FOR ANY TRIP PAYMENTS. SHOP PAY CHARGES THE INCURRED INTEREST TO US AND WITH TRIPS BEING LOW MARGIN ITEMS, THE INTEREST PAYMENTS CREATE FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES.Â
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO USE A PAYMENT PLAN TO MAKE DEPOSITS AND/OR FOLLOW-UP PAYMENTS, PLEASE REACH OUT DIRECTLY TO BEN AT BEN@PARAGONDIVE.COM. WE WILL WORK WITH YOU TO CREATE A PAYMENT PLAN THAT FITS INTO YOUR BUDGET WHILE MAKING SURE YOU HIT THE PAYMENT MILESTONES REQUIRED OF THE TRIP.Â
PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU DO USE SHOP PAY, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCEPT THE ORDER.Â
